Nicole Snodgrass brings over thirty years of expertise to her roles as a choral director, music educator, and vocalist. Her career centers on fostering musical excellence through a steadfast commitment to equity and belonging. She currently serves as Instructor of Choral Music Education at The College of New Jersey. Nicole Snodgrass previously directed the choral program at Ursinus College from 2022 to 2026, where she was honored with the 2023 Ursinus College Inclusion & Equity Faculty Award. Under her leadership, the Voices of Ursinus achieved major milestones, including singing “The National Anthem” at a Philadelphia Phillies game and opening for the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Prioritizing high-level artistic collaboration, she organized masterclasses with distinguished musicians Melissa Dunphy, Marques Garrett, and Chanticleer. In April 2025, the Voices of Ursinus gave a world-premiere performance of commissioned work “May You Walk Gently” by Blake Morgan, Grammy Award-nominated singer and member of VOCES8. In the fall of 2024, she established the Ursinus College Singers. Within seven months of their debut, she led the Ursinus College Singers on a choir tour to New Orleans, featuring performances at the historic St. Louis Cathedral and Loyola University New Orleans.
From 1999 to 2024, Nicole Snodgrass was the choral director at Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey. Her choirs from Cherokee High School performed at The White House, Carnegie Hall, with the band Foreigner, and have toured England, Ireland, San Francisco, New York City, Boston, New Orleans, and Charleston. They have been featured performers at ACDA and NJMEA conferences. She has provided workshops for her students with renowned musicians VOCES8, Jake Runestad, The King’s Singers, Ola Gjeilo, Paul Phoenix, David Conte, Rollo Dilworth, Amanda Quist, Tom Shelton, and Gabriel Crouch.
Nicole Snodgrass was a choral director on the 2023 American Music Abroad Voices Tour and presented concerts in Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, and France. In 2020, she conducted the New Jersey All-State Treble Chorus and was the recipient of the 2020 NJMEA New Jersey Master Music Teacher Award. She has been a guest presenter at the New Jersey Music Educators Association State Conference, The College of New Jersey, Westminster Choir College, Messiah University, University of the Arts, South Jersey Choral Directors Association, and the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania. She is a two-time quarterfinalist for the Grammy Music Educator Award and was named one of Suburban Family Magazine’s “Outstanding Teachers.”
In addition to teaching, Nicole Snodgrass has sung professionally for more than thirty years, serving as soprano soloist at Historic Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia since 1996. She has been a featured soloist with the Brandywine Valley Chorale, Ocean City Pops Orchestra, Kelso North Parish Church in Scotland, and has performed choral works with the Kennett Symphony, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Delaware Symphony Orchestra.
Nicole Snodgrass earned her M.M. in Choral Conducting from Messiah University and B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University. She received her Kodály Level I Certification at Westminster Choir College. She has studied with esteemed choral conductors Donald Nally, Joe Miller, and James Jordan.
